RM 291 (VLT 291) BUILT 1960

RM 291 entered service in April 1960 at West Ham garage as part of the trolleybus replacement scheme. After 25 years service its was sold to Clydeside Scottish and worked in the Glasgow area for four years until a change of policy resulted in the demise of Routemasters in that area.
I've shown the history of body B304 rather than RM 291. Because of LTs unique
overhaul procedure the body is the largest single component of the vehicle that can be tracked back to 1960.
Therefore the bus you are looking at is more RM 304 than RM 291.
